Recently APA wrote to Council regarding the current unsatisfactory state of drains and gutters in Avalon Beach. See our Letter to NBC gutter maintenance.
Council replied in an email:
“In relation to your attached correspondence to Council I have created a reference for works to be carried out by the Construction & Maintenance Team to inspect the drainage pits around the Avalon area and clear these where required – the reference number for these works is DF2018/0301.
Additionally, I have forwarded your correspondence onwards to the manager of Cleansing Services, Richard Li in regard to the request for the establishment of a street sweeper maintenance schedule and the clearing of the gutters of leaf litter around the Avalon area. The reference number for this is 2018/147804.
